Legal
Terms of use
Updated 12 October 2026
These terms are a plain language draft and still need legal review.
About these terms
These terms govern your use of hilalstay.com. By using the site and making a booking through it, you agree to them. If anything here conflicts with rights you have as a consumer under the law that applies to you, those rights come first.
Who you book with
Hilalstay is operated by Mohamed Abdelhamid Abdalla Mohamed, of 241 Church Road, Old St Mellons, Cardiff CF3 6YX, United Kingdom. Hilalstay acts as a booking agent: it helps you find and book accommodation, but the contract for your room is made with the hotel or supplier. Bookings are processed through our booking partner Nuitee (LiteAPI), which also takes your payment. We never see or store your card details.
Booking and payment
You agree to give accurate details for yourself and anyone travelling with you, and to have the right to make the booking. Payment is taken by our booking partner when you complete your booking. A booking is confirmed when you receive a booking confirmation showing your booking ID.
Prices and taxes
We show the total price for your stay and say whether taxes are included. Where taxes or fees are excluded, we show them separately before you pay, including amounts payable at the hotel itself. The currency shown at booking is the currency of your charge. Prices can change with availability until your booking is confirmed.
Cancellations and changes
Cancellation follows the policy of the rate you booked, and that policy is shown to you before you pay. You can cancel from the Manage booking page with your booking ID and email address. For changes, contact us at hello@hilalstay.com and we will help where the rate allows it. Refunds, where the policy gives them, are returned by the same route principles set out in that policy.
Your stay
The hotel is responsible for the accommodation and services it provides, under the contract made with you. You are responsible for following the hotel's rules during your stay, for the accuracy of your travel documents, and for meeting the entry requirements of the country you visit. Hilalstay does not advise on visas or permits.
Information on the site
We work hard to describe each stay honestly, including the source of every halal friendly detail, and we mark anything we have not confirmed as Unknown. Descriptions, photographs and facilities come from the hotel or its suppliers, and details can change. Please check anything that matters to you before you book.
Our responsibility to you
We provide the site and our booking service with reasonable care and skill, acting as agent and not as the provider of the accommodation. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for the acts or omissions of hotels or suppliers, or for losses that are not a foreseeable result of a failure by us. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service develops. The date at the top of the page shows the current version, and the terms that applied are those in force when you made your booking.
Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales handle any dispute that cannot be settled amicably. You can reach us at hello@hilalstay.com, or by post at Mohamed Abdelhamid Abdalla Mohamed, 241 Church Road, Old St Mellons, Cardiff CF3 6YX, United Kingdom.
