Hotel information can leave important questions unanswered. We distinguish hotel claims, map data and unknown details so you can judge what is established before booking.

Where the information comes from

Hotel descriptions and room information come from our booking partner.
Explicit facility claims are labelled Hotel says. We have not inspected them ourselves.
Mosque distances use map data and show a straight line, not a walking route.
Unconfirmed details stay Unknown. Confirm essential needs with the hotel before booking.

What each label means

Verified
Reserved for an in-person check with dated evidence
This label requires an in-person check of the specific detail, with a date and evidence on file. Our current hotel listings have not undergone this process.
Audited
Requires evidence from an independent halal audit body
This label requires a current certificate or report from an independent halal audit body, with its scope and date. It is not awarded just because a hotel describes itself as halal.
Hotel says
From the hotel's listing or own information; not independently checked
The information comes from a hotel listing, the hotel's own website or a direct hotel reply. It is a hotel claim, not our independent confirmation or a halal certificate.
Guests confirm
Requires dated reports from guests who stayed
This label requires dated feedback from guests who actually stayed. A demonstration of the label is not evidence of guest reports.
On request
Needs confirmation from the hotel before arrival
A request is not a guarantee. Confirm availability, conditions and any extra charge with the hotel before relying on it.

The hotel does not offer this.

Where we stand today

Hilalstay is in test mode. Current hotel facts come from supplier listings and map data, with missing information marked Unknown. We have not independently inspected these hotels. Supplier and map dates show when information was retrieved, not when a property was inspected. We are preparing a small family-resort pilot to collect clearer evidence. A hotel is not guaranteed to offer every facility, and a selected filter relies on the source shown beside that detail.
